Definition of a classic album:

classic album must meet three criteria:

  1. Groundbreaking – It must change the direction of music at its time, not just refine existing styles (e.g., It Takes A Nation of MillionsThe Chronic).
  2. Consistent – Nearly every track must be high quality and “skip-proof,” not just a few standout songs.
  3. Enduring – It must hold up over years or decades, not fade after initial hype.
