Talking to my followers

I asked my instagram followers to send me songs to review and their odd music opinions, some were good, some interesting and some...
“Be My first one- Talking toys”
As a generation that grew up just as the golden era of pop was ending, we didn’t really get to experience much of those pure, positive vibes that defined earlier pop music. This song, however, absolutely captures that essence. Listening to it feels like time-traveling back to a happier, more carefree era — a reminder of the kind of energy and optimism that made pop so special.
PIKOTARO - PPAP (Pen Pineapple Apple Pen)”
I was recently singing this song to my sister, and she immediately called me cringe. That moment hit deeper than I expected — a sudden wave of self-consciousness. There I was: a 20-year-old guy with dreams, ambitions, and a vision for my future… yet I was passionately singing “Apple Pen.”
For a split second, it felt like I had triggered an early midlife crisis. I started questioning everything: Is this who I am? Is this what adulthood looks like? But the more I think about it, the funnier it gets. There’s something beautifully absurd about being caught between chasing big ambitions and still enjoying silly, lighthearted things from the internet era we grew up in.
In the end, maybe that’s the balance we all need — knowing how to take life seriously when it counts, but also laughing at yourself when you’re singing nonsense lyrics like it’s a Grammy performance.
“Zedbazi”
Persian, music band Zedbazi… You know what this one will be written in farsi.

Opinions
“Music is built around, making you feel things that you cant/ shouldn't feel normaly”
That’s drugs. I’ve heard people describe shrooms like that.
Music, on the other hand, is really vast. The power of music comes from a combination of words and instruments — or each on their own. Words carry significant weight: a single sentence like “you’re dumb” can leave a lasting impact if said in a vulnerable moment or repeated often enough.
Instruments, meanwhile, go beyond the limits of language. They’re universal. They can evoke deep feelings in people, but they don’t make you feel something unnatural.
“Music is built around making you feel — sometimes it brings out emotions you normally don’t access, and other times it deepens the ones you already carry.”
This doesn’t contradict what was said before — it actually enhances it.
“Kanye isn't a musical genius”
Definition of genius: exceptional ability, creativity, or originality that goes far beyond the ordinary.
I personally believe Kanye West is a musical genius based on the criteria above — of course, if we put recency bias aside.
Exceptional ability
Kanye’s beats marked a turning point in hip-hop. At a time when the genre was heavily “hood-oriented,” Kanye came from a different background — an educated family, never having lived in the hood. His music stood out because it didn’t try to imitate that environment. Above all, his approach to sampling redefined the sound of hip-hop. Many of the techniques he pioneered are still being used in modern production today.
Creativity and originality
Kanye is known for breaking down barriers, often in ways that make him seem reckless or even “crazy,” but that same energy is what fuels his creativity. He takes risks that most artists wouldn’t dare to, and more often than not, they pay off. Albums like Kids See Ghosts sound completely unique — experimental, strange, even chaotic at times — yet they work. That balance between unpredictability and artistry is a mark of true originality.
sane? no
Genius? yes
“Metal Music is always understood as depressing which is very annoying”
Personally, I wouldn’t call myself a metal connoisseur — at least not yet. For me, metal isn’t really “depressing” the way some people label it. I’d say enraging or angry fits much better.
At the end of the day, you’re allowed to enjoy music in any way you want, and other people’s opinions shouldn’t bother you. But it’s also worth pointing out that metal has a softer, more emotional side that many don’t see at first glance.
I always compare metal to the German language: at first it might sound rough, harsh, even intimidating. But once you take the time to learn it and really understand it, you realize there’s depth, nuance, and meaning beneath the surface.
